My name is Aakash Muir. I have a passion for integrating biomimetics in human design. Trying to protect the planet one plant at a time.

Looking forward & thinking big.

After graduating with a major in Entrepreneurship & innovation and minor in Architecture & design, I spent the beginning of my career expanding my managerial prowess within the architectural world. Over time, I became enamored with the colors, designs, and spaces of the industry more than the production itself and found that is where my true passion lies.

My previous work captures a wide variety of solutions to human challenges. Experience is rooted on Earth & reaches to the stars.

NASA

A case study and investigation into the feasibility of “Life Ships.” These spaceship blueprints — specifically designed for deep-space missions — demanded generation of artificial gravity and dedicated spaces for recreational activities & symbiotic life support.

YSA

I helped develop a foundation for homeless youth in Oakland, CA. Design of both the tiny homes and project site were catered around 3 main pillars: a sense of community, stability & safety.

YMCA

Channeled my inner child to showcase the accomplishments of youth members in San Francisco, CA. Design and implementation was inspired & led by the victories of our local charter.

Eye on the Rainforest

Crafted architectural and economic plans to develop the island of Puerto Rico with preservation & sustainability at the forefront of design. Special focus was designated to prepare a regional supply chain fostering growth of local craftsmen & artisans.

Lake County, California

A holistic approach to rebuilding a resilient community consistently affected by devastating California wildfires. Primary objectives entailed rehabilitation of natural wetland basins, local participation from all demographics, as well as education & advocation of Native American “prescribed burn” traditions.

Fort Mason

Historical-oriented design in revitalizing Fort Mason National Park with a focus on restoring the cultural aspect of the landmark. Provided a unique blend of natural and man-made architectural landscaping to guide visitors on a journey revisiting & restoring its previous significance.
